Why I Would Like To Live In Madeira Beach, Florida
Madeira Beach, Florida is located in Pinellas County, Florida. It is right off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in the western coast of Florida. In the census of 2004 the population of the city was recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau at 4,492. Madeira Beach, Florida is a very small city, only 2 miles long but the beach is accessible from any given point within the city, making it a desirable location for beach goers, surfers, sunbathers and anyone who loves the outdoors. The area is primarily residential with little or no industrial or sizeable businesses. Residents are employed for the most part by business interests located outside the city and a large percentage of the population is made up of retirees. This explains the lack of schools in the city. Naturally, there are many families living in the area who do have children of school age, but being so close to major cities as Clearwater, only 9 miles away, and St. Petersburg, 10 miles, children conmute to and from school within a relatively short period of time and distance. Madeira Beach, Florida is quite close to Reddington Beach and it is located a short driving distance from Treasure Island, another delightful city to visit or live in. Madeira Beach, Florida affords the visitor or tourist many hotels and motels at fairly reasonable prices, especially during the winter months. Hotels such as the Holiday Isles Resort, the Beach Suites Resort and the Schooner on the Gulf Motel are only but a few of the best known places to stay, whether your visit is for a few days or a few months, the rates are quite appealing at all of these places. If you prefer to stay at a bed and breakfast you must go to the Snug Harbour Inn where most of your meals are included in your daily rate. It is a smaller place and quite cozy and clean. As far as restaurants within Madeira Beach, Florida there are quite a few. If your favorite dish is italian, then Mario’s Ristorante is a must to visit. With delightful italian specialties and reasonably priced menu, your meals are cooked to perfection each and every time. They are open for the most part of the year. The Dockside Dave Gril offers a variety of seafood and steak dishes and so does the Daiquiri Dock and Oceanside Grill where you may enjoy a good, hearty meal with an ocean view. All three of the aforementioned restaurants are located less than a mile from any given point within the city of Madeira Beach, Florida. Another favorite of locals and visitors alike is the Coffee shop “Addicted to the bean”. This specialty coffee shop is located only 1.3 miles from the heart of Madeira Beach, Florida. Specialty coffee blends are available for the coffee drinker and you are able to purchase your favorite blend to take home if you wish. If the visitor enjoys going to the movies there is the AMC-tri-city Plaza, located in Seminole, another small city located within 3 miles driving from Madeira Beach, Florida. There are other theaters in several close cities or, if you do not mind driving a bit farther, you can always go to either Clearwater, St. Petersburg, or Tampa. By the way, you will be able to fly in or out of the Tampa Bay area within minutes from Madeira Beach, Florida. Real estate is abundant in the Madeira Beach, Florida area. Condominiums, townhouses, villas, or single family homes are available for purchase or rental. Some of the rentals are available throughout the years although sometimes you will have to make arrangements up to a year in advance or more. In short, I would like to live in this beautiful small city because it has everything you want in a small place. A beautiful beach, clean streets, reasonable prices for lodging and entertainment as well as a balmy climate that goes on for almost 365 days a year. With temperatures ranging from the mid 70’s up to low 90’s, this paradise is perfect to enjoy year around.
