Memories of Madeira Beach Florida Come True
If you’re looking for a perfect haven in the sunshine state, that is small enough where you can know all your neighbors, but large enough to access all the conveniences and services of a larger city, then you should consider buying property or a home in the Pinellas County community of Madeira Beach Florida. There is no better time than the present to find your permanent or vacation home in this pristine Gulf Coast community. Prices are affordable and there’s a wide selection of homes and lots from which to choose. Let me tell you how I started my love affair with Madeira Beach Florida. It goes back to when I was a teenager, growing up in the hilly coalfields of western Pennsylvania. My only travel experiences were to Pittsburgh once or twice a year to visit my grandparents and school trips to Washington D.C. One day my Gramps decided that he was fed up with the cold Pennsylvania winters. He and my Gram were heading to Madeira Beach Florida. “Why are you going to Madeira Beach Florida,” I asked. “It’s so far!” “Well honey,” Gramps answered. “Why not Madeira Beach Florida? That’s where my army buddies retired to and they love it. So your Gram and I are going to check it out.” And check it out they did. By the end of the next year, Gramps and Gram bought a charming little cottage near the beach, sold most of their furniture and started the next phase of their lives in the delightful Gulf Coast town of Madeira Beach Florida. It was also the beginning of a love affair for me, because from my very first visit, I knew why my grandparents left the dirt and grime of Pittsburgh for the fresh air, sunshine and clear blue water of this west coast Florida paradise. I flew down to see them every chance I could. And when I went off to college … I chose the University of Florida, which was only about 150 miles from Madeira Beach Florida. Yes, Madeira Beach Florida is paradise. Not just for me, but for everyone who calls it home and for those who visit. It’s probably one of the most perfect locations in all of Florida, with its pristine beaches, Gulf Coast access, and with the convenience of being close to the metropolitan areas of Tampa and St. Petersburg. Plus, you’re within a short drive of Naples, Orlando, Jacksonville, Daytona and the Miami-Dade metroplex. Madeira Beach Florida is a perfect place for retirees, as my Gramps and Gram found out. Only about 10% of the population had children under the age of 18 living with them, so they were very comfortable finding friends who shared their interests. The town is only two miles long and about a mile wide, including waterways, so getting around is a breeze. Bikes are prevalent, as are boats. The town is on the intra-coastal waterway, so you could cruise up and down the coast, if you so desired. My Gramps and Gram are now slowing down, but I’m going to follow in their footsteps. I’m in the healthcare field and I’ve decided to relocate and make Madeira Beach Florida my home address, too. I found the perfect condo overlooking the Gulf at an incredibly affordable price. I settle in about four weeks and will move later in the spring. I’ll truly be following my dream and continuing my love affair with one of the most perfect locations in the nation!
